All our volunteers receive full training
and support

Autumn Training 2010

All our volunteers are fully trained before being placed with families and are supported through regular Supervision and Support groups while volunteering with the Trust. For more information download the Information Pack for potential volunteers or phone for a copy on 01306 881816

We run regular training courses throughout the year. The courses run over 9 consecutive sessions, with a non-residential weekend workshop. It is essential to attend all the sessions. The course covers:

  • Listening skills
  • Loss and bereavement
  • Working with clients
  • Personal development

Train to be a volunteer this Autumn and you could soon be supporting families facing life threatening illness

Our next training course will start on  October 14th  2010. Before the course starts we will be holding an Introductory Evening at 316 High Street on Thursday 16th September,  starting at 7.30pm.   If you are interested in becoming a volunteer we strongly recommend you come to this session. It will give you the opportunity of meeting our trainers and some experienced volunteers and learning more about the Induction Training and what it means to be a volunteer with the Trust. There is no obligation to continue with the course at this stage if you feel it is not for you.

Please call (01306) 881816 today to book a space on the Introductory Evening.
