On Sunday 26th April, Megan King will be running the 2026 London Marathon, raising money for our cause.
We were lucky enough to secure a spot at this year’s London Marathon, and the fantastic Megan will be running for us! Taking place this weekend, she’s spent the last few months training for the big day and we want to wish her the best of luck.
Megan has lived in Slovakia, Austria, America and the UK, and her favourite things are being outside in the sunshine and spending time with her super supportive husband! She works part-time as a personal trainer and teaches an evening fitness bootcamp in Guildford, alongside her full-time role with Emerge, supporting young people’s mental health in A&E. She has chosen to fundraise for us as she has seen first-hand the need for care and compassion beyond a diagnosis, and how the people who bring hope into these circumstances can change lives.
We’re so thankful to have Megan fundraising for us, and she has set herself an amazing target of £2000 for our cause. So far, she has raised a fantastic £989, nearly half of her total goal. Please consider sponsoring her today, and help us continue to provide our free emotional and practical support across Surrey.
How your donations make a difference;
- £15 could provide a weekly visit from one of our volunteers to a person living with a terminal illness
- £30 could cover the cost of a therapy dog visit to a client
- £50 could allow one of our clients to have a much-needed pampering session in the comfort of their own home
- £100 could fund one of our Neurological support group sessions
- £200 could provide one person with a place on our Bereavement Support programme, helping them work through their grief with coping techniques and shared experiences
