Coffin Club Surrey

What is Coffin Club?

Coffin Club is a free 6-week course, meeting one day a week for a one hour talk from an invited speaker with Q&A and discussion, followed by refreshments and an optional coffin decorating workshop.

Why attend a Coffin Club?

Coffin Club is a place to come and learn about the different options available to you to help you plan your own end of life celebration, whatever stage of life you are at.

You will have an opportunity to hear from independent funeral directors, to end-of-life doulas and everything in between.

We will dispel some of the myths and misconceptions associated with funerals, for example, did you know that you don’t need to have a funeral director or hold your funeral at a crematorium chapel? You don’t even have to have a coffin if you don’t want one!

What else?

In addition to educating participants about their funeral options there is also the opportunity, for those who wish to, to buy and decorate their own eco-friendly cardboard coffin. (Coffins need to be purchased in advance and taken away at the end of the course).

By the end of the 6-week course you will have all the information you need to plan an ending that is personal and more meaningful to you and your loved ones. A celebration of life that is unique to you!
